 What is CANnibal BUS project?

I am not an expert on this vehicle bus standard or pentesting. I'm just starting to learn this fascinating communication protocol with a low cost setup, free software and books online.

The car hacking is a new and very interesting area of security research for the penetration tester. CAN BUS is vulnerable to certain attack vectors and methods like Side Channel Analysis, Man-in-the-Middle, Denial of Service, Fuzzing and Injection Attack. The future of autonomous cars depends, to a large extent, on the security and optimal implementation of CAN BUS, ECUs and vehicle to vehicle communications.

CANnibal BUS project is a way to learn from open sources and share the knowledge acquired. Learn without economic and academic restrictions, without prejudices... "Devouring" the security of the devices with "cannibal appetite"! :-) 

 The ultimate goal of this project is develop and build our own CAN BUS pentesting tools: data analyzer, traffic sniffer, hardware, etc.
